My Backgground
Thank you for your interest in Nature and Body-Based Recovery. Here is a little bit about myself. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, a Clinical Supervisor Intern, a Certified Complex Trauma Professional, and a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level. Through all of that credentialling, I have found that the body is a powerful healer and recovery tool. As I grew in my professional life, I was finding something missing. At the same time, on a personal level, I was seeking a deeper connection with the divine. Yoga helped me on this quest. I have practiced yoga on and off for most of my adult life. For most of that time, I was practicing yoga for exercise. However, I have always been a seeker for spiritual discipline and divine connection. I eventually found, through my broadened understanding of yoga, that it can be more of a lifestyle and spiritual practice than just exercise. I found a training program that focused more on improving mental health which was in line with my professional interests of helping people recover from mental illness. It is my deepest hope that I can introduce you to a deeper awareness of your own divine connection.
